In the DrillMaster Shooting Club™
we recognize ALL of the competitive categories from ICORE, IDPA, IPSC, NRA and USPSA.
In addition, DMSC has a few categories of its own.
You may shoot the drills in multiple categories, and then enter
your top score for each category into the DMSC Score Database. Rob will shoot
many of the categories so that you will be able to check his scores.
Some equipment qualifies for more than one category. In this case, you
must declare the category before you shoot the drill.
DMSC has seven (7) unique categories:
Duty Auto, Duty Revolver, Tactical, SSProd, Concealed Auto,
Concealed Revolver, and .22 Junior.
Duty Auto and
Duty Revolver are for law enforcement
only.
Tactical allows
members to shoot law enforcement / military type equipment.
SSProd evolved because Rob has issues with the rules
some organizations apply to production equipment. He has combined
three of their categories and allowed a few modifications.
Concealed Auto and Concealed Revolver categories are for smaller,
concealable guns shot from concealment.
.22
Junior category is for those 12 years old and under. It must be
shot with .22 long-rifle pistols, and no draws are required.
If you are not familiar with the specifics of each disciplines'
categories, please reference the individual organizations hard copy or on-line rule book for an exact
definition. The web site links are available by clicking on the
organizations below,
i.e., IDPA.
